AJ showing his class off the field as well as on it…

Alistair Johnston is a quality player. His battling qualities as well as his ability and athleticism on the right side of defence and attack have served us well these past 18 months.
He’s a class act as a player and he will only get better, and yesterday he showed he’s a class act off the pitch.
I’m referring to a post he uploaded on X in which he stood up for his teammates against a rather twisted high profile individual whose intentions are to spread hatred and cause division in society.
The sons of immigrants
Alistair was defending his national teammates who were being attacked for the colour of their skin. Alistair quite rightly stood up for his colleagues and responded with the perfect reply in which he stated “what if I told you that myself and two other white players pictured here are the sons of immigrants as well?”

“This is Canada. Our strength is in our diversity and it is what makes our country so special not tragic.”
Well said Alistair. You have the right attitude and as well as being a great player you are also a great human being.
What if I told you that myself and the other two ‘white’ players pictured here are the sons of immigrants as well?
This is Canada. Our strength is in our diversity and it is what makes our country so special – not tragic. 🇨🇦 https://t.co/ova8HE8fKc
