Celtic face Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon. The Scottish Champions sit at the top of the table separated by the Dons by goal difference due to their respective excellent starts to the season.
Celtic are unbeaten in 25 games against Aberdeen, stretching back to a 1-0 defeat in May 2018 in Brendan Rodgers’ first spell. In fact, Aberdeen have been beaten in their last 8 trips to Celtic Park with an aggregate score of 23-2, which doesn’t bode well for the Reds.
Both teams will be eyeing a run of eight wins in a row at the start of the season. Celtic haven’t done this since 2010/11 with Aberdeen actually the last side to achieve this feat under Derek McInnes in 2015/16.
Celtic go into the game without Greg Taylor (calf) but welcome back Cameron Carter-Vickers, who is in contention to start. There are no other injury concerns for the Celts.
