More ‘woe is me’ stuff from Clement today, crafty Rodgers is a worthy Champion

Let’s be clear, theRangers haven’t handed Celtic the title, it’s been well earned. This seasons Glasgow Derby results are all the proof that you need…Celtic 10 points, theRangers one point…

There’s a firm belief amongst theRangers supporters and the media that the Ibrox side have gift wrapped the title to Celtic.

Bottles crashed

While it may be true that theRangers were firmly in the driving seat just a matter of weeks ago.  Then, predictably enough, their bottles crashed. They wilted under the pressure of being in a title fight, letting the Champions take full advantage. That however doesn’t paint the entire picture of the scenario.

We are Champions Elect

Celtic are where they are through their own hard work, and throughly deserve to be sitting top of the table. You only have to look at this season’s Glasgow Derby results to determine the real reason we are Champions Elect.

In the four games against the Ibrox side this campaign, we have won three and drew once. That’s 10 points out of a possible twelve and each and everyone has been richly deserved. Indeed it was only a dodgy penalty call that stopped us winning all 12 points.

We’ve shown true character and won the games that have mattered. and that has us in the favourable position of being just one point away from being crowned Champions.

And they should be asking questions about their manager who got off to a great start but allowed everything Celtic were doing and Brendan Rodgers was deliberately saying to get into his head.

Clement was at it again today – more ‘woe is me’ stuff, howling at the blue moon, over injuries and suspensions.  Also claiming Celtic got all the sympathy going when we had one or two players injured. Is the guy serious?

No one has gifted Celtic the title

No one has gifted Celtic the title, It’s all been earned through our own endeavour and there’s a truism in football that says the table never lies. The team that finishes top are the best in the country and are worthy Champions.
