Former Hoops defender Alan Stubbs is convinced his old side will clinch a famous League and Cup double with room to spare, sparking huge celebrations at the green and white end of Hampden. And if his prediction comes true, punters can clean up at odds of 14/1.
Stubbs reckons that the sell-out final is still a free hit for Parkhead boss Brendan Rodgers because it won’t be until next season that fans see his own true stamp on the champions’ squad.
Rodgers led Celtic to Premiership glory with a team largely built by predecessor Ange Postecoglou – but Stubbs predicts that will change in the summer.
The man who led Hibs to the Scottish Cup in 2016 is confident Celts will have too much for Philippe Clement’s Ibrox outfit. Talking to safebettingsites.com he said: “I think Celtic will win the final 3-1.
“It has been a very good year for Brendan Rodgers but I think you can only start judging him from the summer onwards when he starts to tailor a squad of players that he wants.
I think Brendan was a bit startled
“I think you will see a lot of players leaving Celtic in the summer and seeing a lot coming in.
“With the ones coming in I think you will see a lot more quality because I think Brendan was a bit startled when I heard him talking in his press conferences about the lack of quality he found in the dressing room when he came back.
“I don’t think it has been a vintage Celtic season. It has been a very disrupted and inconsistent season for them and if (the)Rangers had anything about them they could have capitalised. But ultimately they have not been good enough.

“I would expect a huge turn around at Celtic this summer because I don’t think Brendan has been happy with the squad of players he inherited.
“Realistically the wheels have come off towards the end of the season for (the)Rangers.”
Celtic repeating their 2-1 win in the final Glasgow Derby game of the season is 15/2 and anyone who fancies a repeat of the thrilling 3-3 draw at Ibrox in April can get that at 40/1. Celtic to win 2-0 at 8/1 looks rather attractive to me!

Then ,she went on to emphasize that the last time the two teams met in the final of the Scottish cup 22 years ago …theRangers were victorious !Not a single syllable about that team having been liquidated ,so tomorrow would be a first ,if successful !
