Celtic join forces with US Soccer Programme to give local kids a day to remember…
Celtic star Luis Palma today met local kids in the United States as Celtic joined forces with the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association(MSYSA) to support their fantastic Let’s Play! programme.
The programme, run by MSYSA, is designed to transform the lives of participants that helps to teach social, emotional and team working skills while always aiming to grow excitement around the beautiful game of football, or as they say in the USA, soccer!
Launched in September 2021, Let’s Play has positively impacted the lives of nearly 3,500 children in the area, providing an opportunity to play the beautiful game after school, an opportunity they would otherwise not have had.
Luis Palma v 30 children earns a decent 1-1 draw
The Celtic winger and Honduras internationalist was delighted to support the programme, taking time to meet and speak to the 30 children, aged six and seven, who were involved, taking questions from the kids and showing them some of his skills.
And as he faced the children in a 30 v 1 match, he earned a creditable 1-1 draw for Celtic!
