Starting Reo Hatate is a bold and positive move from Brendan Rodgers

Reo in from the start. It’s a bold positive move. Let’s hope it pays off!

The team sheet for today’s game has just been announced. Liam Scales is back in beside CCV at the back and that will strengthen our defence considerably, but the big news is that Reo Hatate is back in the starting line up for the first time this year.

Livingston’s magic carpet

We all knew Reo was back in the squad, but I think the overwhelming majority of us thought he would have to settle for a place on the bench, especially as the game is on Livingston’s magic carpet and Ibrox looming next week.

However Brendan has judged him to be fit enough to start so we can only trust his judgement.

There is no doubt that Reo is a talented player, the best in Scotland when he’s on form, but he will naturally be a bit ring rusty after such a long spell on the sidelines.

Bold and adventurous move

That said, it’s a bold and adventurous move by Brendan Rodgers. We will be facing a side who will prove difficult to break down, and with Reo’s ability it will make us stronger in our bid to overcome such tactics.

Let’s just hope it works for Brendan, Reo and the rest of us with Celtic in our hearts.

Here are today’s teams…
