Steve Clark’s starting XI
GK: Zander Clark
Defence: Andy Robertson, Grant Hanley, Ryan Porteous, Ross McCrorie
Midfield: Kenny McLean, Billy Gilmour, John McGinn, Ryan Christie, James Forrest
Attack: Lawrence Shankland
Bench: Gunn, Kelly, Gordon, Anthony Ralston, Tierney, Hendry, Cooper, Greg Taylor, McKenna, Callum McGregor, Jack, Adams.
James Forrest reaping the rewards
Although there are some clear Celtic absences from the starting lineup, with McGregor starting on the bench, James Forrest has reaped the rewards from his recent form and has earned a start in the Scotland team.
While this is still a friendly, and it is likely that the team will see a decent amount of rotation, it is still fantastic to see Forrest being rewarded for his recent form with a start in the Scottish line-up.
A strong showing from Jamesy could help win his place for that massive Euro 2024 opener against Germany.
