Celtic make Mikey Johnston stance clear with £6m valuation

Celtic have made it clear to potential suitors that they will not let Mikey Johnston leave on the cheap. The Irishman enjoyed a resurgence of form at West Bromwich Albion with Baggies fans clamouring to sign him on a permanent deal.

However, as reported by football insider, Celtic will demand £6m for the player that netted seven times in the EFL Championship.

Johnston has scored 13 goals and assisted on 12 occasions in 92 appearances for Celtic. Brendan has said that he will welcome the player back to the club in the summer, citing him as one of the best players to come out of the Celtic Academy. However, the move to England proved that Johnston had the attributes that Rodgers sees in training but could never really consistently deliver at Celtic.

The club will likely move to cash in on his spell with the Baggies and send him onto the next stage of his career with everyone’s best wishes.
