Matt O’Riley reacts to brilliant afternoon to Celtic Park

Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley has reacted to a brilliant afternoon at Celtic Park as Brendan Rodgers’ side went six points clear at the top of the table. Rangers play tomorrow but all the focus on Saturday was how good Celtic were as they clicked through the gears to dominate Hearts.

The Danish midfielder was back to his best as he assisted Kyogo’s second before netting from the spot in the closing stages. Rodgers and his team will be delighted about the fluency, power and pace of the play – which had the supporters well and truly buzzing.

After what was undoubtedly the best performance of the season by Brendan Rodgers team, confidence will be sky high going into the game against the Rangers next Saturday afternoon at Celtic Park. And with a midfield trio of Matt O’Riley, Callum McGregor and Reo Hatate, Celtic will be looking to complete the Glasgow Derby fixtures in the Scottish Premiership with three wins a rather unlucky draw in the last game at Ibrox.

That should be more than enough to make sure of the league title coming back to Paradise yet again and also give the team a massive confidence boost ahead of the Scottish Cup final against the Rangers at Hampden Park on. 25 May.

Taking to Instagram, it’s clear that the team recognised the impact of their performance.
