Video: Mikey Johnston’s Celtic value continues to rise with West Brom goal

Mikey Johnston scored again for West Brom in their 2-2 draw with Stoke City yesterday. The Celtic winger has now got 7 goals in 13 appearances for The Baggies since joining on a loan until the end of the season.

Johnston is a favourite of the West Brom fans, who are clamouring for their side to sign the Irish attacker on a permanent deal. Given that no option clause was inserted into the deal, Michael Nicholson finds himself in a favourable negotiating position come the summer. The attacker’s value has risen and given his form, he could command a fee of up to £10m.

Meanwhile, another Celtic winger, Sead Haksabanovic started and was substituted in the game. The 24-year-old has scored 1 goal and assisted twice in 19 appearances in what has been a fairly unremarkable season for the ex-Rubin Kazan attacker.
