Former Celtic star Carl Starfelt’s La Liga move has turned sour with Rafa Benitez being sacked by Celta Vigo with the side sitting just two points above the relegation zone. The Swedish Internationalist departed in a deal worth £5m, which came as a surprise to supporters.
Now, it has been confirmed that former Real Madrid, Liverpool and Inter Milan manager Benitez has been sacked.

Celtic have struggled to replace Starfelt, who was excellent in his two years at the club striking up a brilliant partnership with Cameron Carter-Vickers at the heart of Ange Postecoglou’s defence. However, surprisingly, the player made the call to move on at the beginning of last season.
Celtic signed Maik Nawrocki and Gustaf Lagerbielke in order to replace Starfelt but neither have enjoyed any consistent spell beside CCV with Liam Scales emerging. You would think that Starfelt might like the lifestyle of Spain more than Glasgow but the football was certainly better at Celtic.
