England goalkeeper praises Joe Hart, wants successful send off

Everton and England No.1 Jordan Pickford has praised Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart. Hart confirmed that he would be hanging up his gloves at the end of the season after an illustrious career.

Speaking to Talksport, the Everton goalkeeper said that he looked up to Hart, admitting that he wants to see the 36-year-old go out on a high.

Joe’s had a great career

“He was someone I looked up to massively. The pathway he went on, going from Shrewsbury to Birmingham to Man City and to get England’s No.1 and 75 caps and playing ten to twelve years for Man City doesn’t come for nothing.

“He has had a great career. Hopefully, he will go out on a high. I can see why the Celtic fans love him as well.”

Hart was a great signing from Tottenham in the summer of 2021, going on to lift five trophies so far. The Englishman was a key figure in the Ange Postecoglou era given his big saves and commanding personality. The game will miss a player of Hart’s quality and as Pickford says, hopefully he bows out with silverware.
