Celtic issue Statement after North Curve Celtic hit out at club

North Curve Celtic earlier today issued a statement concerning their decision not to attend the two SWPL1 matches at Celtic Park against Hearts on Sunday 21 April and then on the last day of the league campaign on Sunday 19 May.

The Celtic End

Earlier in the week the Ultras ground confirmed that they would be attending these matches and would once agin create The Celtic End in the lower Jock Stein Stand to showcase the concept that they want to bring to Celtic Park in future seasons and also to support Elena Sadiku and her team as they chase a first ever title triumph for Celtic FC Women.

North Curve Celtic Statement

Here’s the statement from North Curve Celtic. which was posted on social media earlier today.

Celtic Statement issued to The Celtic Star

Our sister site, The Celtic Star has been an active supporter of the development of the Celtic FC Women side for the past four seasons and as a result followed up on this frustrating news by speaking to Celtic. The result of that was this statement being issued by the club to The Celtic Star:

“The group were made aware that the Jock Stein would not be made available due to certain safety concerns relating to this specific area, but arrangements have been made by the Club to allow the group to attend within the Rail Seating Section.

This has been communicated to the group and the Club hopes that as many supporters and supporter groups as possible come along to support Celtic FC Women at the upcoming Celtic Park matches, as well as all other matches.”

Surely the Celtic Ultras should still put on their show and back the Ghirls in the North Curve?
