Celtic are reportedly closing in on the loan signing of highly-rated Chelsea striker Shim Mheuka.
The Scottish champions are keen to bring the England youth international to Parkhead for the remainder of the 2026/27 campaign, with Sky Sports reporting that he is undergoing a medical in London today ahead of a potential switch.

Mheuka only committed his long-term future to Chelsea last month, signing a new contract that runs until the summer of 2033.
However, the Premier League club now appear prepared to sanction a loan move to Celtic, giving the youngster an opportunity to gain regular first-team experience under Martin O’Neill.
Mheuka arrives with an impressive reputation following a prolific campaign at youth level.
The forward was named Premier League 2 Player of the Season after helping Chelsea win the title, scoring 18 goals and providing one assist across 19 appearances while captaining the club’s Under-21 side.
Reflecting on receiving the individual award, Mheuka said: “It has been a great season for me and I’m very proud to receive this award.
“I’ve worked hard throughout the year and I’m grateful to my family, the staff and my team-mates for all of their support.”

Looking like MoN wants to have 4 striker options available within his overall squad plans imo?
Especially with Duran well able to do a duel role, as Maeda provided
Wouldn’t say that will expand into the europa league squad all the same?
Moreso having the extra options available for our Scottish campaign more so?
A decent enough decision taken by MoN, especially with the fatigue factor involved against Lask, with subs made that didn’t work out either imo?
With plenty of games expected, especially during our Scottish campaign, where teams are going to sit deeper, against our possession game with attacking threats in operation?
Then not to surprising that MoN has placed more focus upon midfield and attacking options, more so than defensively imo?
So potentially MoN is looking to use his subs, moreso with the attacking intentions, than being forced into using so many defensive options from the bench?
Which has been in existence possibly to long, for the liking of MoN, especially with 3 having to be used during the Lask matches?
Very unusual for any team to be making so many defensive subs during the course of any match, especially if you are hoping for stability within a defensive set up of a team?
To many injury prone defenders remains in operation, within our team set up as it is at present?
Hence is MoN considering actually changing that now?
