Celtic are reportedly on the verge of announcing the signing of Haissem Hassan after finally reaching an agreement for the Real Oviedo winger.
The Hoops have pursued the Egypt international for some time and were hopeful of striking a deal below his £10million release clause.
Now, a fresh report from Spain, relayed by Sport Witness, claims Hassan has “finalised” his move to the Scottish champions and is expected to arrive in Glasgow imminently.
The 24-year-old has been firmly on Celtic’s radar since before his eye-catching performance against Argentina in the last 16 of the World Cup.
After a drawn-out pursuit, an official announcement now appears to be the final step before Hassan can begin his Celtic career.
Crucially, the deal is also expected to be completed in time for Thursday’s Champions League registration deadline, making Hassan available for the upcoming play-off showdown with LASK.
