Celtic in middle of transfer talks with Bodø/Glimt for striker Kasper Høgh and a decision on whether the Denmark international striker will move to the Scottish Champions is expected in the next few days…
That’s the latest news coming from Italian transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio who has a decent track record. The Sky Sports journalist has 1.9m followers on social media platform x.
“I think Kasper Høgh will join Celtic,” Gianluca Di Marzio revealed.
Di Marzio shared his latest update on Celtic-target Kasper Høgh. Di Marzio confirming that Celtic and Bodø/Glimt are in contact and he has reason to believe that the Danish striker will move to Celtic, with the next few days crucial if the move is happening or not.
The Danish striker made his international debut in the spring, scoring in just his second international against the Czech Republic. Now a great season could be spiced up with a big move tp the Scottish Champions, and Di Marzio says that a clarification will come soon.
“Yes, I think Kasper Høgh will join Celtic. It’s not because they necessarily have a deal ready already, but it definitely looks like there’s a really big chance he’ll join Celtic,” the Italian transfer journalist told SpilXperten.
He added: “It’s absolutely correct that Celtic and Bodø/Glimt are in contact with each other, and over the next few days we’ll find out if they can land a deal.”
The Norwegian side had previously been looking for around £7m for their star striker but that seems to have changed in recent days as Celtic have come to the negotiating table.
Celtic will this week secure around £8m plus an extra £2m in add ons from Ipswich Town for Daizen Maeda and this money should be enough to secure the deal with Bodø/Glimt to bring Kasper Høgh to Celtic Park.
It certainly would be money well spent giving Martin O’Neill two strikers who last season demonstrated that they can score goals in the Champions League.
Having both Camilo Duran and Kasper Høgh in the squad would certainly give Celtic a decent chance to make some sort of an impact in European football and together they’d be too hot to handle for domestic opposition with Lawrence Shankland leading the line across the city.

Rubbish, Celtic don’t spend money they accumulate money ,it’s their modus operandi, end of story , stop giving them your money or you are complicit in the destruction of our club
I still believe that a big statement signing will eventually happen imo?
Who that signing will be, is still nothing more than a guessing game also?
For all of the faults of this board, especially in recruitment. I don’t think that they are that stupid to receive big money in sales of players, and spend very little on incoming players?
Even if I still expect a profit to be achieved within this window regardless imo?
That issue, doesn’t bother myself, as it seems to within many of our support?
Still place, what a player produces for ourselves out on the pitch, far higher than the money factor involved?
Hogh certainly seems to have a profile as a striker, that should be able to fit in well, with how MoN is looking at setting up our team for next season imo?
What we don’t know, is just how interested Hogh is, in actually joining ourselves?
Would think if we were in negotiations with Bodo, that he is fairly interested or this is nothing more than a smokescreen in place at present imo?
The biggest potential problem, remains the prospect of a CL qualification process? Which could well have a huge bearing, not just for ourselves, but moreso Bodo? That potentially adds complications to the time line, and could effectively alter the fee involved, as a result of the CL qualification process?
As Bodo, hold a much stronger hand than ourselves, in any such potential deal at present?
Then would be very surprised if any potential deal for Hogh, could or would be concluded quickly, if at all imo?
All the while, the waiting game is in operation, then always a good chance of another club, moving in and able to take the player by offering better terms?
At present, i still have very little confidence in Nicholson and Mckay in being able to conclude deals, upon the quality of player we are looking to attract, and require also?
That doesn’t mean that the money factor spent upon a player, is going to make them a guaranteed success either?
But do believe, that MoN will want players who really want to play for ourselves, especially after having to deal with so many want away players last season imo?
And that will hopefully involve players able to produce at a higher quality, and on a far more consistent basis also?
Especially as our own team performances, were well below the expected standards, we are looking for,within the demands of our club last season imo?
