Celtic’s Camilo Duran discussions with Azerbaijani side Qarabag have been confirmed by Sky Sports…
The Hoops are thought to be keen to bring the man who bagged five goals in ten games in the UEFA Champions League last term against some very strong opposition to Paradise this summer…
Martin O’Neill is set to revamp the Celtic squad and is in dire need of additions in just about every area of the playing squad, such is the state we have been left in by our executive Board. Several successive transfer windows have been abject failures, to put it mildly, and the fanbase want to see that real lessons have been learned in regards to player recruitment.
Faith is at an all-time low in the Parkhead powerbrokers and with little to no signs of movement in the marketplace to date, even though pre-season is already well underway, anxiety has begun to really ramp up amongst swathes of the support lately. With that said, any news is good news and this latest update on Camilo Duran’s future is promising from Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph.
According to Joseph, Celtic are definitely in deep discussions with our old European competitor about signing the 24-year-old centre-forward, who can also play wither wing.
Likewise, he states that the even though the clubs were thought to be apart in initial valuation, they are still progressing well. With any luck, Duran could be signed over the weekend and it can really kick-start our recruitment drive.
Celtic are in talks to sign Qarabag forward Camilo Duran.
It’s understood the clubs were initially far apart on valuation, but negotiations continue.

Meanwhile Celtic are working hard to close a deal for goalkeeper Dinko Horkas, according to Spanish reports.

The Croatian net-minder is of high interest to the Scottish Champions, with news emerging that the Hoops had opened preliminary talks with the La Liga 2 side in recent days over a potential transfer.
The club are also rumoured to be closely monitoring the Tjark Ernst situation, as the German keeper rejected the offer from Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg, as reported by transfer specialist Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany.
There is plenty of noise surrounding the 23-year-old Hertha Berlin player too, with Dutch giants Feyenoord said to be heavily involved now.

However, on the subject of the 27-year-old Horkas, a report from the Canary Island of Gran Canaria have claimed that the Hoops are trying their best now to close a deal for the Croat star, with a €7 million fee being floated at present.
The same report by Sport confirms that the player’s club, UD Las Palmas, are trying to drive a hard bargain though, holding out for closer to the €10 million mark.
With these reports that Celtic are also progressing in talks with Azerbaijani side and former European foes, Qarabag, in a deal for Colombian striker Camilo Duran, we could see movement sooner, rather than later.
Hopefully, the club is able to make a breakthrough over the weekend and give the supporters something to be optimistic about this pre-season.
