    Welcome to Celtic Kasper Hogh. A real signing of intent as Celtic parade our new striker in all three Celtic shirts…

    Celtic today completed the signing of Danish International striker Kasper Hogh in a record breaking £11 million plus deal from Bodo/Glimt, leaving most of us delighted, but also a bit surprised as none of us, understandably so, had any faith in our hierarchy getting top quality deals over the line.

    The striker who also played for Randers, Hobro, Aab, and Stabaek, in his homeland was a previously a player of serious interest in the eyes of Celtic, but unfortunately a deal didn’t come to anything, due to a combination of our club’s lackadaisical attitude towards recruitment, and Bodo Glimt’s reluctance to sell due to their participation in the latter stages of the Champions League.

    Hogh is a player of great ability, and it’s a real sign of intent from Martin O’Neill, who has shown that he means business going into the forthcoming campaign.

    The Danish centre forward is a player of proven quality as his record of 53 goals in 104 appearances for the forward thinking Norwegian side testifies.

    It’s not just domestically that Hogh proved his class, as he also registered five goals in last year’s Champions League group stages as Bodo reached the last 16, with wins over Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, and Inter Milan along the way.

    Indeed, Kasper scored against the aforementioned sides, proving his overall ability in front of goal on the biggest stage of all.

    The 6ft 1in frontman is just the presence that we require in a forward line that has become rather powderpuff in the past year or so.

    A proven goalscorer domestically, and in the champions League, a title winner with Bodo, Kasper Hogh has the ability and experience our forward line has been crying out for, and you can only applaud the club and Martin O’Neill for getting the deal over the line.

    Hopefully Kasper’s signing signals the start of a few of more arrivals, meaning we can head into the new campaign a week today on a high.

    Love the way that the club have already released photos of Kasper Hogh in all three of this season shirts. You can’t fault them for trying. The way to get the support back buying these admittedly excellent kits is to follow this brilliant signing up with a handful more ahead of the Champions League play-off matches that are fast approaching.

      Celtic supporters and and supporters south of the border are going to see some exciting attacking football yes not only Celtic supporters will be following there games we just signed two and more coming in people think we will sell our top players to cover the spending im thinking this might change players minds that might be thinking of leaving might just look at those signings and relise Celtic mean business and are buying players for europe if the qualify for champions league and Im sure teams will not want to play Celtic to qualify for champions league it will be a different club than last season where we put all our eggs in one basket and was used by a player and his agent that no entensions of going to Celtic but left it to the final days to go to ajax was his plan for weeks im sure Celtic F.C as a club wont forget if we have to do business with him or his agent again billionaires don’t forget and what I hearing more signings are still to come in all the abuse the board took last summer transfer window and I dont hear those people praising them for doing there business so afishintelay as I said Celtic FC are doing there job and should get the highest praise for bringing these top class players to our league And I hope hearts do get through there round tonight but I think they bottled it but hears hoping
