Martin O’Neill believes Celtic have landed a major addition after welcoming Kasper Høgh to the club following his move from Bodo/Glimt.
The Hoops boss was full of praise for the Danish forward after the Scottish champions confirmed the striker’s arrival on Tuesday, with the 25-year-old expected to bolster Celtic’s attacking department ahead of the new campaign.

Speaking to club media, O’Neill said: “I am delighted that Kasper has joined us.
“He is a player of real quality with a good level of experience in both domestic and European competition. Kasper is a goalscorer, but he also has a lot more to his game, and I am sure our fans will like the way he plays.
“The club has done so well to secure a player of this quality, and I am confident that Celtic and Kasper will be a really good match.
“We look forward to introducing him into the squad as we build towards the start of the season.”
Høgh is now in line to make his competitive bow for Celtic when they begin their Scottish Premiership title defence against Dundee at Celtic Park on Flag Day on Monday.

Martin O’Neill is right, Hogh will shine at Celtic, but only if the rebuild continues with further quality signings like Baur and Hassan. This business needs to get done quickly or these two great bargain players will be snapped up by other clubs and it will be the John McGinn saga for Celtic all over again. There are still so many places to fill and hardly any progress. So far, the money spent on Hogh and Duran equals what the club has made on player sales. Not a single penny has been spent from the bank hoard. It’s high time this board got the finger out and started to act like footballing professionals instead of bean counters. Every single deal is dragged out for weeks and months because they low ball every selling club. The club is notorious all over the world for this.
