Celtic-linked Julian Araujo looks increasingly likely to remain at Bournemouth this season, with reports suggesting the defender is prepared to compete for a regular role under new head coach Marco Rose.
The Mexico international spent the second half of last season on loan at Celtic after falling down the pecking order under former Cherries boss Andoni Iraola.
Although his time at the Hoops was cut short by a quadriceps injury after just 13 appearances, Araujo quickly won over supporters with a series of energetic displays.
Having returned to the south coast for pre-season, the 23-year-old now appears set to stay at the Vitality Stadium rather than seek another move away.

Mexican journalist Julio Rodriguez reports that “everything is now pointing” towards Araujo remaining with Bournemouth for the upcoming campaign.
He featured for the final 20 minutes of Bournemouth’s pre-season victory over St Pauli on Friday, further fuelling speculation that he is part of Rose’s plans.
A return to Mexico had been mooted, with Liga MX side Cruz Azul linked with a move for the full-back.
However, those reports have since cooled, with Cruz Azul now said to be in advanced negotiations to sign FC Juarez right-back Francisco Nevarez instead.
Bournemouth also head into the new season following the departure of former first-choice right-back Alex Jimenez, who has joined Fiorentina after becoming the subject of investigations into alleged inappropriate social media activity.

As much as I would have liked both Julian and Saracchi to return on permanent deals?
Can also understand as to why it isn’t really possible?
Due to the problems that exists within our 8 homegrown quota requirements, within the forming of a 25man European squad?
Gets overlooked to conveniently within our squad building process, for my liking?
Julian could well be considered as a very decent replacement for AJ?
But if we have no intention of selling AJ, there’s still a bigger requirement for ralston over Julian, whether we like it or not?
Same possibly applies for Saracchi, especially if MoN has identified the LB position as our best opportunity available to fulfill our 8 homegrown quota requirements imo?
These are the problems we face, in trying to form an overall squad, for a European campaign. All without a proper development programme in operation within Scottish football, despite the coefficient dropping like a brick at present?
At least Murray and Donovan are showing real potential in addressing the issue?
Along with hopefully Hatton and Mcardle in the making?
So in order to get 2 quality players in each position, isn’t really possible, to the standards we would like, with this uefa rule in operation imo?
Still calls upon plenty of flexibility within our squad building process, in order to cover injuries more sufficiently, and B listed squad players can hopefully provide extra depth to a European squad
Other countries are addressing the development issues for the homegrown quota requirements within a European squad?
Scotland continues to ignore the situation, and even our own club has been guilty of doing so also imo?
Maybe losing out upon Saracchi and Julian, might wake up some within our support, as to the existing problem?
Instead of ignoring it, and thinking a great CL campaign can be achieved by using the same 16 players, throughout such a campaign?
Now that’s really farcical imo?
