Ipswich Town are said to want to seal a quick-fire move for Celtic star Daizen Maeda…
The Premier League newcomers are keen to bring the Hoops talisman to English football, following the Japanese attacker’s candid admission about wanting to play in the EPL.
The jet-heeled World Cup star has one-year left on his current deal and it will be the last opportunity for the club to get something for their star man, especially after his strong showing over in USA, Canada and Mexico lately.
Maeda found the net for his country and also put in a tremendous performance against Brazil too in the knockout rounds, garnering major praise from pundits.

There is an air of inevitability about the 28-year-old’s future, as his manager Martin O’Neill admitted after the Scottish Cup Final in May that he would most likely be moving on, having earned the right after years of dedicated service.
That was in the aftermath of an end of season showing that reminded every one of his undoubted talents and ability to produce the magical sometimes.
Now Roger Hannah of The Scottish Sun is reporting that the newly-promoted Premier League outfit are eager to get the Japan international in the door quickly ahead of the season starting in August.

It is claimed that the Tractor Boys are willing to bankroll new manager Gary O’Neil after a spell in the Championship a couple of years after being relegated from England’s top-flight.
The same report states that Celtic view Egyptian winger Haissem Hassan as a direct replacement for Maeda, doing little to quell fears that this window will all be about just maintaining what we already had, as opposed to properly improving the squad for Martin O’Neill.
Regardless if the club brings Hassan in, unless he is followed by several other major statement signings on top of replacing any who leave, it won’t cut the mustard.
The Modus Operandi of this current Celtic Board is out of the bag now – and it’s beyond shameful.

Ipswich can have a quick purchase but they need to meet Celtic’s valuation otherwise it’s not happening
