Fresh reports suggest Greg Taylor’s future could soon become clearer, with movement anticipated over the former Celtic defender.
The Scottish champions are weighing up the prospect of re-signing the left-back only 12 months after he left the Hoops at the expiry of his contract.
Taylor’s spell with PAOK has failed to fully take off and, following the arrival of new head coach Alessio Lisci, he is no longer believed to feature prominently in the club’s plans.
According to reports in Greece via Daily Record, “significant developments” surrounding the 28-year-old are expected shortly as interest in his services grows.
Celtic remain among the clubs monitoring the situation, although they are reportedly facing competition from teams in both the English Championship and Major League Soccer.
Taylor was absent from PAOK’s squad for last week’s Europa League qualifier against Dynamo Kyiv after reportedly requesting to sit out because of a personal issue.
He was then omitted again for the return leg, with PAOK completing a comfortable 5-2 aggregate victory without him involved.
Should Taylor make a return to Glasgow, he would effectively fill the vacancy created by Marcelo Saracchi’s departure, despite the pair offering contrasting styles at left-back.

No comparison at left back. Saracchi superior in every aspect of play, especially in defending.
The refusal to resign Saracchi earlier this month would suggest Nicholson can’t be arsed. Or O’Neill doesn’t like him (nah). And it’s not about the money.
