    Celtic talks with Bodø/Glimt over Kasper Hogh transfer confirmed

    Sky Sports confirm that Celtic are currently in talks over signing Kasper Høgh from impressive Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt…

    The big Danish centre-forward emerged as a target in the January transfer window of this year, though he decided to stay put in Norway, as Bodø/Glimt had reached the UEFA Champions League knockouts for the first time in their history.

    Norwich City had also thought to be keen to tie up a deal for the player too, offering somewhere in the region of £7 million to bring him over to the UK and thr English Championship. Just like the Celtic interest in Høgh too, the attacker decided to decline the offers and concentrate fully on the Norwegian champions with their European journey.

    Fast-forward to this summer and the Hoops have apparently now revived their initial wintertime interest in the man who bagged 5 goals in 12 games last term in Europe’s elite club competition.

    That has now said to have gone beyond the stage of just admiration though, as Sky Sports man Anthony Joseph has delivered yet another positive update in relation to Celtic incomings this summer window.

    Joseph confirmed that German U21 cap Mika Baur was standing by to fly over to Scotland for a medical yesterday, as Celtic still try to thrash out a deal of circa £4 million with SC Paderborn for his services.

    The midfielder is highly regarded in his homeland and several top German clubs from the Bundesliga had been looking at the engine-room operator, however, it looks like the Bhoys have the upper-hand now in the race for the 22-year-old ace.

    With that ongoing, Sky Sports journalist Joseph has confirmed via social media site X that the club have begun talks with Kjetil Knutsen’s side, over possibly bringing Kasper Høgh to Scotland this summer transfer window. Speaking to his many followers online, the self-confessed Celtic fan said:

    “UPDATE: Celtic are in talks to sign Bodo/Glimt striker Kasper Hogh. The Hoops have held a long-term interest in the Denmark international and made an enquiry for him in January. Norwich City also made a £6.9m bid for Hogh then, but the 25yo decided to stay for the #UCL run.”

    This confirms the story on Celtic Shorts this morning where Italian Sky Sports journalist confirmed that talks between the clubs were ongoing with him predicting that Kasper Hogh will sign for Celtic.

    That’s the latest news coming from Italian transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio who has a decent track record. The Sky Sports journalist has 1.9m followers on social media platform x.

    Di Marzio shared his latest update on Celtic-target Kasper Høgh. Di Marzio confirming that Celtic and Bodø/Glimt are in contact and he has reason to believe that the Danish striker will move to Celtic, with the next few days crucial if the move is happening or not.

    “Yes, I think Kasper Høgh will join Celtic. It’s not because they necessarily have a deal ready already, but it definitely looks like there’s a really big chance he’ll join Celtic,” the Italian transfer journalist said as reported on Celtic Shorts.

    He added: “It’s absolutely correct that Celtic and Bodø/Glimt are in contact with each other, and over the next few days we’ll find out if they can land a deal.”
