Lazio willing to part with Celtic target Matteo Cancellieri

Celtic have received a welcome boost in their potential pursuit of Lazio winger Matteo Cancellieri…

The Bhoys are said to be monitoring the situation of both Cancellieri and his teammate, Gustav Isaksen, as they look for possible wing reinforcements this summer window.

Kasper Hogh should complete move to Celtic early in the week

The Hoops have already acquired Camilo Duran and are reportedly close to completing a record-breaking transfer for Bodø/Glimt striker Kasper Høgh, in what would be a major coup for Martin O’Neill’s side, although there is still significant work to be done beyond those deals, if Høgh’s is completed without any last-minute hitches.

Plenty of potential exits still in Celtic squad after Daizen Maeda transfer

Having already lost Daizen Maeda to Ipswich Town for around £10 million in what will most likey be the first of many this summer, Celtic are braced for bids for the likes of Alistair Johnston, Reo Hatate, Benjamin Nygren, Arne Engels and possibly even captain, Callum McGregor, who is thought to be a target for Ange Postecoglou over in Saudi Arabia.

That means that anyone who leaves needs to be replaced with adequate quality, on top of already bolstering a squad that has seen better days and is needing help all over.

Celtic still has problems on the wings

The wings department is no different in this instance, with Maeda gone and Jota injured until at least Halloween, and Michel-Ange Balikwisha and Sebastian Tounetki just not cutting it either, unfortunately.

Celtic’s Haissem Hassan pursuit has gone quiet

Consequently, O’Neill will need more strength-in-depth if he is to truly push the club forward this year both domestically and on the European circuit. Real Oviedo attacker Haissem Hassan has been hotly-tipped to be one of the next names through the door, although it seems to have gone quiet after the Spanish outift demanded around €10 million to part with the Egyptian World Cup star.

Celtic may have now moved onto alternatives, or at the very least scoping them out if a deal cannot be struck with the Segunda Division side.

    Italian outlet confirms Lazio’s intentions

Corriere dello Sport are now reporting that Lazio are willing to part with Matteo Cancellieri, to help raise funds for manager, Gennaro Gattuso, and also get something for a player who only has one-year left of his current contract.

The report by the Italian publication does state that Lazio have tried to slap a €15 million price-tag on the tall and athletic young attacker. However, it does qualify that by stating the Serie A club are absolutely conscious to the fact that they will not receive offers anywhere near this and that they are merely taking a hard-bargaining stance to help drive the price up for their own transfer kitty.

It will be interesting to see how this all develops in the next few days ahead and who the club do decide to go for. Camilo Duran and Kasper Høgh would be a great start, but that would be all it is – a start.

He is good. Strong, fast, got goals in him, great goals actually.

Young and will have resale value easy double or triple in a year turnover. Has fluctuations that’s the only downside. But in our pacey league he will have a lot more chances so will easily score 10+ goals and we didn’t even consider the assists. He likes to cut inside, to take on his opponents and also to shoot from outside the box, right on the edge curlers with power.

He has great professional attitude and not hard headed. Learns on the go, adaptable as he can play on the left wing too. He is a double asset in a sense and tried out as an AMD too.

Offer 12mil. If they reject, which they will, get 14 and 10%(not too much) resale and they will accept. That is ass in euros so the operation would cost roughly £12.7 mil

      A steal
