Kasper Dolberg’s proposed move to Midtjylland has reportedly been placed on the back burner, with the Danish side waiting before making a decision on whether to pursue the former Celtic target.

The striker, who was strongly linked with a switch to the Scottish championship last summer, is expected to leave Ajax after a disappointing spell in the Netherlands.
While there has been speculation that Celtic could revive their interest, nothing has materialised, and Midtjylland have been viewed as the most likely destination.
However, the Danish champions are said to be focusing on potential departures before committing to a deal, with the future of Franculino Dju expected to determine whether they move for Dolberg.
Scandinavian football journalist Farzam Abolhosseini believes Midtjylland will only press ahead if circumstances change within their squad.
He said via Podunk: “If Dolberg goes to FC Midtjylland, he will be really, really expensive.
“It could happen, but I think they are waiting to see if Franculino is going to leave.
“He has to play. Franculino [Dju] has to play, he has to be released for a large sum of millions. Preferably £22 million.”
Celtic-linked Dolberg is reportedly available for between £6 million and £7 million this summer, considerably less than the valuation attached to him during last year’s transfer window.
