Josh Clarke has looked back fondly on his spell with Celtic after bringing his time at the club to an end this summer.
The goalkeeper arrived from Glenavon in 2022 and spent four years on the books at Celtic, gaining valuable experience through loan spells with Airdrieonians, Ayr United and, most recently, Partick Thistle.
Although Clarke agreed a pre-contract with Thistle during his loan stint, he has instead joined Doncaster Rovers on loan after his Firhill deal officially began, with the move set to become permanent in January.
Speaking after completing the switch, the 22-year-old reflected on his experience of living in Glasgow and the unique football culture surrounding Celtic and Rangers.
He told Doncaster Free Press: “As soon as I came [to Glasgow] you could tell it’s such a football-mad city.
“Wherever you went people would be talking about football and Celtic and Rangers.
“Being a part of one of those clubs was cool in a sense, but also you kind of had to be slightly careful what you said in taxis and whilst you were out and about!
“But I loved living in Glasgow and they were great people.”
