What is it, 23 days since the day Celtic won the title in the most dramatic of ways?

Of all the drama and meltdowns that has produced, it’s been hard to keep up with the sniping that’s been aimed in our direction by those jealous and hurting from Celtic’s sensational title win.

One of the main takeaways that day was the behaviour of the Celtic supporters, due to the numerous overjoyed punters who invaded the pitch at the final whistle.

False claims of Hearts players being assaulted

It was widely reported that our supporters assaulted several Hearts players, despite no video evidence of any such incidents actually taking place.

A story that made national headlines up and down the country, with those in a media capacity, and even club officials pouring more fuel on the already untrue and over exaggerated allegations.

Pat Nevin? Tony Bloom? What say you now? 

Guys like Hugh Keevins, Pat Nevin, Andy Halliday, Pat Bonner and Tony Bloom, just to name a few accused our supporters of assault with literally no shred of evidence to back up their wild claims.

Police Scotland confirmed no complaints received from Hearts 

Just a couple of weeks ago it was revealed by Police Scotland that no reports of assault were filed by anyone connected to Hearts Football Club, a focal point that should have led to some form of apology, but nothing has been forthcoming from those who tarred our supporters reputation.

Today it gets even more interesting as Hearts Midfielder Cammy Devlin spoke of the topic, with his words proving to be very interesting, and words that should lead to a barrage of apologies from those who accused of our supporters of violent behaviour.

Cammy Devlin tells the truth 

The Aussie who is currently in The States with his national side as they gear up for the upcoming World Cup finals, revealed that none of his teammates were hurt during the pitch invasion.

Not that we didn’t know that already, but now that someone who was there has clarified it, can we now get an overdue apology from those who sullied our support’s good name?

Eye witness lies that followed were disgraceful

The Celtic supporters on the pitch were celebrating the amazing title win. Hearts here devastated at losing the title in the closing minutes of the season – again – but they were not assaulted. The lies that followed were disgraceful, dishonest and certainly those responsible should come out an apologies to the Celtic support.

Just deleting your x account, as Pat Nevin has done,  is nowhere near enough.

Here’s what Cammy Devlin has been saying about the title showdown at Celtic Park where Hearts were a few minutes away from winning the title until late goals from Daizen Maeda and Callum Osmand won it for Celtic in the most dramatic of circumstances.

“None of the players got hurt,” Cammy Devlin admits

“It was horrible, to be honest. I didn’t envision the last game of the season going the way it did, in terms of the result, and the scenes you all would have seen. That’s not what football is about,” Devlin said, via Scottish Sun.

“They won the game, and they were the champions. But just the way it all happened, the kind of last week with some of the decisions and stuff.  It puts a bit of a sour taste on the ending to what was such a good season for such a special club.

“None of the players got hurt, but it wasn’t nice, and it never is.  But at the end of the day, we didn’t quite get it over the line, which is something that will take a while [to process].”
