Chief executive Michael Nicholson has again found himself under the spotlight, with supporters questioning what progress has been made since commitments were given to address concerns raised through the club’s fan survey more than two years ago.

A recurring complaint from the group centres on communication, with fans still awaiting clarity on several major issues. Celtic have yet to announce a summer signing, Martin O’Neill’s coaching team remains unconfirmed, and there has been little indication of wider structural changes behind the scenes.

Speaking previously at the club’s AGM in November last year, Nicholson said: “We were delighted with the response to the fan survey.

“We want to make improvements for the supporters across the club, primarily across communications and supporter engagement process.

“We will look at improvements to the stadium to be implemented this year.”

However, the Celtic Fans Collective believes supporters are still waiting to see meaningful action from those promises.

Responding to Nicholson’s remarks, the group said: “In a pre-recorded interview shown at Celtic’s plc AGM in November, Michael Nicholson committed to acting on the feedback provided by supporters through the Fans Survey — completed more than two years ago.

“Beyond the launch of a Club app, what supporter feedback has been acted upon, Michael?”

The organisation also turned its attention to football matters, highlighting concerns over the club’s preparations for the upcoming campaign.

Their comments came after chairman Brian Wilson outlined his expectations for a productive summer rebuild in April, stating: “It’s going to be a big summer.

“I expect everyone will have learned lessons from things which influenced this season. There is huge effort assured in the summer so that we face next season in the strongest possible position.

“We have to have the best possible chance going into next season — that is the absolute commitment to supporters.”

The Collective has challenged that message, pointing to the lack of visible progress across several key areas.

In response, the group said: “We are awaiting confirmation of Martin O’Neill’s backroom staff.

“There is nobody overseeing recruitment, key players are set to leave and we face the biggest rebuild in years.

“Meanwhile, two supporters are facing potential bans and continued harassment from the club, risking more disharmony in stands.

“What lessons are being learned, Brian?”

For a bunch of uneducated jokers who’s only claim to fame is how they very nearly brought down our club last season, before the board brought back MON, Shaun Maloney and Mark Fotheringham, they actually believe that their smokescreen is enough to hide the fact that it in in fact THE COLLECTIVE who are the problem at Celtic!

Hi Joe, What do you think about Shaun Maloney assisting Martin this season and taking charge of the coaching? You happy with that after the way things panned out last season?

Do you think it’s sensible to get him and Mark Fotheringham tied down on contracts to build on last season’s triumphs?

Do you agree that this would be the correct and sensible move for the Celtic Board and they should do all that they can you get pen on paper?
