Let’s make it a double, and if we do it’s down to one man, and one man only, and that is the legendary Celtic manager Martin O’Neill…

Last Saturday afternoon I didn’t think it was possible for the Celtic support to have a higher regard for Martin O’Neill than we had at that moment when the final whistle sounded and he had delivered probably the most iconic title win in Celtic’s history.
Yet this week he proved me wrong by the magnificent manner in which he defended the Celtic support against the bitter attacks, the fake news and the pile on in the shameful mainstream media as the most bitter losers of all time failed to grasp the reality of Celtic pipping them at the post to win the title.
Celtic fan media defended the club, and the support
Yes the Celtic fan media defended the club, and the support but you’d expect that would you not? However joining us on the front line was none other than Martin O’Neill who took the lies apart one at a time and has made the likes of Derek McInnes, George Foulkes and Tony Bloom look like the pathetically bad losers that they really are.

Today we march with O’Neill to Hampden once again in the season’s showpiece game, as we aim to win the Scottish cup for the 43rd time. Because of Martin we do so in great spirit and with plenty of confidence as we still remain on cloud nine after one of the most sensational title wins in the club’s unbroken history.
Celtic can’t take anything for granted at Hampden
Dunfermline Athletic might seem like the perfect opponent, but nothing could be further from the truth, and one thing is certain, Neil Lennon’s side will make it as tough as possible for us.

Think not? Well remember the 2023 Scottish Cup final that saw us win a treble under Ange Postecoglou? We were up against Championship side that afternoon and Inverness Caley Thistle certainly made us work for the right to get our hands on our favourite old trophy. We prevailed in the end but it wasn’t as straightforward as many expected, so let’s give the Fifers – and of course their manager – the respect they deserve.
The Pars will bring a large crowd, showing once again that they are a side who very much belong in the top flight, and they will be extra motivated to make history for themselves and their terrific support.
Neil Lennon is a proven winner
In Neil Lennon they have a manager highly experienced in these situations, and more importantly he’s a proven winner.
But fortunately for us so is Martin O’Neill, Lenny’s biggest mentor in the game, and he will be aiming to go out in a blaze of glory, twenty one years after leading the club to Scottish cup success in his last big Celtic ‘farewell’ at the National stadium.
Or maybe the second trophy in a week will see Martin remaining at the club. He certainly wasn’t ruling that out when speaking to the mainstream media ahead of the Scottish Cup Final.
Everything is there for Celtic to win the Scottish Cup
Everything is there for Celtic to win the Scottish Cup and bring the curtain down on a peculiar, turbulent and sometimes dire campaign of football, which cumulated in last week’s title win for the ages. To think we are just one game away from winning a domestic double, is absolutely ridiculous considering the way we’ve stumbled through this campaign.

If we do win the Scottish Cup this afternoon, and I’m highly confident that we will, then it will be down to one man, and one man only and that is Martin O’Neill.
Yesterday Celtic announced that Yang had signed a new deal to remain at the club until 2030. Congratulations to him on a well deserved new and improved contract and it was refreshing to hear the South Korean speak about wanting to play his football at Celtic.
Winds of Change set to blow through Celtic Park
Tomorrow, or maybe starting on Monday we’ll start to understand the magnitude of the changes to the squad that’s coming our way over the summer – and to navigate our way through that – with perhaps 16/18 players leaving – we need to have a manager at the football club.

That man could very well be Martin O’Neill and if it is there will be few if any complaints from the Celtic support.

Paranoia will raise its ugly head if Celtic get beat.
Predetermined springs to mind.🤔😆
With contract extensions being offered, especially to Yang now, then everything is starting to point to MoN having an input upon footballing decisions still imo?
Don’t believe that the board are making such decisions whatsoever, especially without a manager in place at present?
Got no issues with the contract extensions offered, and deserved also, even if Yang was a surprise all the same. So getting a bit of stability added to our squad building process is a great move already taken imo?
Will still need plenty of work taken, within our squad building process over the summer.
So today, expecting another glorious day, in achieving another double winning season.
So hopefully within our celebrations later on today, there will possibly be a wee bit of sadness also imo?
Thinking it will be the last time we will see a number of our players within our jersey today? Just how many is unconfirmed yet, but could be as high as 8 from the expected squad today, and that’s without Hatate, Paulo, and kasper being involved imo?
I do think it will be the last time we will see Maeda playing for ourselves, so hoping he can give us yet another memorable day, for the many he has already given to our club?
