The wider footballing world being sucked into this delusional charade

The wider footballing world being sucked into this delusional charade, caused by Sky Sports’ extremely biased panel at Tynecastle and no panel all at Fir Park…

It seems that whenever Celtic win a game of football, it’s not without its controversies. Last night at Fir Park being no exception, as once again it was a decision that was proved to be correct that had the entire footballing world up in arms.

It’s usually the whack jobs of the Scottish footballing fraternity who are scouring over every incident in our games, but now it seems that those from other landscapes, mostly those who down south that are being sucked into this bonkers charade.

Still can’t get my head around Sky Sports initial decision NOT to broadcast that game

Sky Sports started the week deciding against covering that incredible game of football at Fir Park between the best two sides in Scotland. Instead they packed their studio at Tynecastle with two former Hearts players and their well-known bluenose, Kris Boyd.

There was nothing similar at Motherwell v Celtic game after the broadcaster’s panicked decision to show the game after all ami significant backlash.

False Narrative on Time Added On

The game at Fir Park reached 90 mins played with the scores level at two each and the fourth official held up the board adding on five additional minutes. The penalty incident happened at the end of that five minutes, with around ten seconds still to play.

BBC Scotland today have been pushing a misleading narrative that the penalty goal came in the 99th minute.  Maybe that’s correct but the incident happened with 94 mins and 52 seconds on the clock.

Perhaps it’s the desperation to see a fairytale Hearts title win that’s affecting their judgement, but it’s still no excuse for the sheer blindness that’s been unleashed due to an incidents that’s been proven correct by the aid of several replays. SNS images clearly show that the ball hit Nicholson’s hand – not his head – yet this too has been ignored.

The fuel for all of this came from the biased anger in the Sky Studio

The fuel for all of this came from the anger from John Robertson, the former Hearts striker and of course Kris Boyd who played for both Rangers clubs. Paul Hartley, a former Hearts and Celtic man was in on the act too, rather disgracefully in the minds of many Celtic supporters.

Motherwell, weren’t robbed, Hearts weren’t robbed, and the Rangers certainly weren’t robbed, Celtic were quite rightly awarded a spot kick and it’s somehow sent the lot of them in to a frenzy of biblical proportions.

Amusingly guys like Kris Boyd where about to self combust, whilst the likes of the usually credible Gary Lineker and Jeff Sterling where suggesting it was one of the most outrageous decisions they’d ever seen. That’s on the back of watching on Sky Sports and hearing the false narrative forcefully delivered by those three pundits.

Daizen Maeda was denied a stonewall penalty in the game – even Kris Boyd agrees

I’m sure Gary, Jeff and several of their fellow colleagues of that ilk would certainly disagree on that opinion if they had have seen the outrageous decision not to award Celtic a penalty in the first half when Daizen Maeda was wiped out in the box by the Motherwell goalie, an incident that’s been completely and conveniently ignored.

The agenda up here is pretty clear though, and that is to smear and discredit Celtic football club, due to our dominance of the Scottish game. If Celtic win the title it will be our 14th in 15 seasons, and our 56th in total in our unbroken history.

It’s just unfortunate that our friends down south are joining in on the sheer delusion created by those who despise us, all due to their jealousy of our success.

Hearts forums were pinning their hopes on Motherwell

Hearts forums earlier in the week were pinning their hopes on Motherwell taking something from Celtic last night because they didn’t fancy having to go to Celtic Park on Saturday needing to avoid defeat to win the league.

If you offered Hearts that at the start of the season they’d have bitten your hand off. But they know how lucky they got last time when Wilfried Nancy was new to the Celtic dugout with his  little magnetic tactical board.

Hearts fans and players watched Celtic dismantle the Rangers last weekend

They watched Celtic dismantle the Rangers last weekend to end their slim title hopes and they fear that Celtic will do exactly the same to them on Saturday. They know that the Celtic support will make it an intimidating atmosphere to play in and that the Celtic players will rise to the occasion.

The title has been Hearts’ to lose for most of the season. On Saturday that will change. It’s been their worst nightmare all season long. Now that Trophy Day approaches their manager’s bottle has gone. They can see it. When the cameras switched from Fir Park to Tynecastle last night neither the supporters, the players or the manager could raise a smile between them.

Roll on Saturday, when they’ll hear The Celtic Roar

Remember the old Scottish guy in Dad’s Army? he’d say “we’re doomed I tell ye, we’re doooooooooomed!”

Roll on Saturday and we’ll see who is the best team in Scotland because they’ll lift the trophy.

Now the dust has settled.. The reaction from many high profile people is way over the top. John Beaton was advised to go to the monitor and saw that the ball hit the arm in an unnatural position Bottom line is people would hate to see Celtic win the title again and that is all.

I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Shorts colleagues.

The new footage from behind the goal clearly shows the ball coming off the Hearts player’s hand, but of course no apologies given by McInnes, Askou, McCoist, Lineker, among many others.
John Beaton and VAR deserves an apology as well, but don’t hold your breath waiting on that coming.
Credit to the referee and VAR for making the correct decision.

It’s pretty obvious that Sky initially chose Tynecastle because that’s the only venue where the title could have been won that night.

Is it a pen? Yes and No, depending on your point of view. Yes because it’s a handball above the shoulder line in the penalty box. He’s headed the ball through the back of his hand. Those are the guidelines. There is no pen for the challenge as there is no unnatural lateral movement towards Trusty’s head, just normal leverage for an arial challenge. He rose first and got his arm across his opponent that’s all. Doesn’t matter if there was contact, it wasn’t a swipe.

No, because that should never be a penalty to anyone with any common sense. Accidental, an arial challenge, miles outside the six yard box, both players in front of the goals and facing away from goal.

You get some you don’t get others. It’s soft but a case can be made.
