Despite all the frustration, and pain from all quarters over Celtic winning a stunning last gasp title, it’s plainly clear that we won it fair and square…

Those who can’t grasp that just have to accept that the side who ends the campaign top of the pile are more than worthy Champions, that’s a fact.

We won the most games, scored the most goals, and more importantly we accumulated the most points over the course of the campaign, and despite not occupying top spot for the majority of the campaign, indeed I believe it was as far back as September when we were last top of the perch, we reached that position when it mattered most.

It doesn’t matter how poor the side who lifts the title have been over the campaign, and Celtic have been at times woeful, that can’t be denied, it’s where you finish at the end that counts.

Sympathy has been pouring in from all over the country for Hearts, whom many reckoned deserved it the most, but just like any other side, they are to blame for their own failure, and have to take a long look in the mirror.

Celtic won their last seven fixtures, whilst the Jambos went off form as they dropped four points in the same period, so the team very much in form, which happened to be Celtic earned their success the hard way.

Victories at Fir Park, and Easter Road as well as crucial home wins over the Rangers, and of course Saturday’s dramatic win over Hearts were monumental in seeing us get over the line.

We may have stumbled at times, but we got there in the end and that’s all that counts. The history books will show that Celtic won the 2025/26 Scottish Premiership title, and deservedly so. And that’s all that matters, end of discussion.

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Shorts colleagues.

Quite correct, in winning league titles is done over an entire 38 match campaign?
If you finish top of the league over such a period, then you are worthy champions, nothing else to be concluded imo?

We were neither a free flowing or controlled football team, this season. We become a team relying moreso upon moments within games.
Many of them moments, came very late in matches, turning 1 point into 3, which was a massive factor within this campaign.
For all the moaning about it, no credit is been given to ourselves regarding that extra desire for the want of winning football matches. Such moments were also provided from the subs bench, isn’t that regarded as magnificent game management, although you won’t hear it?
Even that desire was questionable on many occasions throughout the entire campaign. But was on show, multiple times when the extra pressure of the run was applied?

Although we can admit, that this title victory was achieved in a manner that we aren’t use to whatsoever. It also says more about our rivals and haters than anything else imo?
As much as we eventually enjoyed the manner in how this title was won. Still hope it’s regarded as a very memorable one off also imo?
Although the campaign produced many of memorable one off moments within it, during matches.
Still wouldn’t like our team to become associated with winning matches in the manner that we did this season either?

Still some distance away from being a respected CL team, which hopefully becomes our ambition again? Thought it might be a longshot for next season all the same, with the amount of changes expected over the summer?
Regardless, keeping a strong mentality intact, hopefully remains a requirement within our recruitment department upon incoming players. Wasn’t on show for to many during this campaign, where the quality factor was more questionable. This despite that extra quality getting produced on limited moments all the same. Would like to think that a massive lesson has been learnt during this campaign, to improve matters for next season imo?
As enjoyable as the season ended, it wouldn’t be one I would like to endure on a regular basis either imo?
