There have been whispers throughout the last few months of the campaign that some sort of change was threatening to sweep through the corridors of power inside Celtic Park, but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the case so far…
It was reported yesterday by trusted source Stephen McGowan that the much anticipated managerial talks have been pushed back a further week, which in turn has set our plans for next season back as a consequence.
A Magnificent Martin O’Neill inspired Double
We may have just won a magnificent domestic double, but it’s plainly obvious that we need a change of direction both on and off the park, yet our Boardroom leaders are sitting on their heads yet again when we should be pushing ahead with plans for upcoming campaign.

As sweet as winning the double was, it’s somewhat taken the heat off Desmond & Son who control our football club, and as they applauded the players in the Hampden sun with the rest of us last week, their collective delight wasn’t in the same way as that of the supporters, but more down to sheer relief that their collective failings had been sidelined by the success on the field.
That success was achieved by Martin O’Neill, his staff and the players led by Callum McGregor despite and not because of the backing they received from upstairs.
Dermot Desmond is doing himself no favours as he once again fails to read the room
Despite the league and cup double delight for the supporters, many are still, and quite rightly so very angry and frustrated at the way our club is being run.
Dermot Desmond is doing himself no favours as he once again fails to read the room by shelving plans for vital managerial talks, and the day before the season ticket renewal deadline. Renewal figures must be high eh? Most will have renewed and the fans protesting by waiting to the last minute will be busy today navigating their way through that process.
Yes, the Celtic support is indeed faithful through and through but we won’t be taken for mugs.
We are still in limbo regarding who is going to be the manager despite it being four months since the dismissal of Wilfred Nancy, and that is simply not good enough. Martin O’Neill has no idea if he is going to be offered the job or not, he said as much last night at an event back home in the north of Ireland.
Surely for everything he has done for the club this season he deserves some clarity for Dermot Dermot, who he mistakenly calls the ‘owner’ of Celtic. He certainly calls the shots but is a minority shareholder.
It seems that those in charge, from the very top in Dermot Desmond to his yes men on the board haven’t learned their lessons and are very much still sleeping at the wheel. When are they going to wake up?

Dermott’s antiquated, glacial and autocratic approach to “running a football club” is crippling our potential at every turn.
He, and the posse of useless milquetoast supplicants beneath him, all have to go.
Nothing they do is in the best interests of the team.
Getting way ahead of the current situation imo?
Everything surrounding the managerial job is going to centre around MoN.
Is he not entitled to take a bit of time, to assess whatever has been proposed?
Hasn’t his own family got a say in the matter as well?
MoN was possibly the only person capable of bringing unity back into our club last season imo?
The board are not stupid enough to know, that the same potential of unity breaking down yet again is still upon the table?
Hence the board require MoN far more, than MoN needs the workings of the board imo?
So trying to place the pressure upon the board, is more of placing the pressure upon MoN imo? Which would be totally wrong in doing so already, after the climax of last season.
Now what role, may have been offered to MoN is still unknown, and certainly would require some thinking time for himself, especially if it’s to be the actual managerial job?
I suspect it could be different myself, but would require himself to be fairly hands on, over this summer period imo?
Very big commitment for anyone of the age of MoN.
Again MoN is far from stupid either, and he would know that just walking away, will only start the anti board bashing yet again.
So it remains a very delicate situation, which was always going to be the case.
An extra few days to wait for a suitable outcome, is the only solution available imo?
Would rather wait that extra few days, in hopefully achieving a suitable outcome, for both parties, than to be rushing in with decisions, that could have massive consequences within our club imo?
Martin O’Neill wont be messed about just scare mongers stirring it big Club big decisions like any big business Celtic wont be rushed by these people who they owe nothing to the majority of season book holders 95 percent no this but scaremongers dony help be nice to get it done before world cup I dont know how fifa give the money to clubs that represent them in world cup comes in
Just give us your season ticket money and we will give the same bullshit we have done over several years” unfortunately the season ticket buyers fall for the same old bullshit they are the problem not the board. It should be no change no money The staidum needs serious money spent on it which can be funded by long mortgage agreements but that would interfere with share holders dividends” they will give you it will to expensive but that’s a load of bullshit it’s business that can afford to develop the staidium dont let them tell you otherwise they are all bullshitters.
