Callum Osmand insists he is looking forward to potentially getting Celtic back into the Champions League group phase in August.
Osmand says the prospect of helping Celtic return to the Champions League group stage is already driving his ambitions for next season.
The Hoops are now just one qualifying play-off away from reaching Europe’s premier club competition for the first time since 2024, having narrowly missed out last year after an embarrassing defeat to Kairat Almaty.
“That would be unbelievable,” he said via Glasgow Times. “I was on the bench for the two games at the start of this season and it was tough watching because I wanted to give something and I thought I could have helped the team.
“Hopefully we get it over the line this time and have Champions League football.”
The 20-year-old is also setting his sights high domestically, with the striker determined to challenge for the leading role in Celtic’s attack next term.
“That would be my target, and I’ll just keep working towards that,” he said. “Whether it happens or whether it doesn’t happen, I’ll just keep being the same player I am and keep doing the same things I do and I’ll just keep working and hopefully everything will fall into place.
“I just want to stay fit and I want to keep giving what I know I can give and the scoring feeling will never get better.
“When you hear the fans, I just want to excite the fans and I think that’s what gets me really excited for games, just knowing that I can give back to the fans and give back to people and excite people. That’s what I want to do and want to keep doing.”
Osmand now has the opportunity to cap an impressive breakthrough season by helping Celtic secure a domestic double in Saturday’s Scottish Cup final against Dunfermline Athletic.

The prospect of CL football on offer, is always going to be a potential attraction for players potentially joining ourselves?
European football offers the chance for players to hugely increase there value, far more so than what the SPFL can?
The downside is, if a player can’t succeed with ourselves, then there own opportunities can become limited as a result, without the strong name the SPFL holds within European football.
So of course risk is involved for players joining ourselves.
A low percentage still go on to bigger and better things within there careers, in success terms. But a fair few also get the improved contract, with more money available to themselves?
We may be regarded as a potential stepping stone for the younger players, or experience the glory days that our club offers, for the latter players within there careers?
But we potentially need players prepared to put our club first, before there own individual outlook imo?
In that regards, believe that Osmand can become a very big player for ourselves, with such an attitude. Remains me of O’riley in that sense.
Could possibly do with a fair few more, to be added over the summer period.
Hence the role MoN could play in getting those with the right attitude for ourselves imo?
How long we can keep hold of such potential players, is an entirely different story altogether. But can be assured that the board will be looking to keep the player trading model intact, especially when it’s so profitable when it gets done correctly, and more than covers the losses made within it.
