It’s Celtic biggest game of the season tonight as Martin O’Neill takes his title chasers to Fir Park to take on a Motherwell side who have already beaten the Rangers at Ibrox and drawn with Hearts on Saturday night in the post split fixtures…
Both those resulted suited Celtic perfectly but now the Champions have to do what neither the latest Ibrox or the current league leaders could do and that’s take the three points off Jens Berthel Askou’s side on their home patch.
Celtic go to Fir Park on a high after a fine 3-1 win over the Rangers in the Glasgow Derby at Celtic Park on Sunday afternoon. Daizen Maeda is flying, Arne Engels and Alistair Johnston have improved Celtic since returning from injury and the Celtic support is buoyant and united behind the team, the manager and the coaching staff.

4574 Celtic supporters will make sure that their backing is heard from start to finish as they roar the team on to the title. It’s said that Celtic know how to win titles and it’s also the case that the Celtic fans know their job at this time of the season and they never come up short. Watch and listen this evening to see what I mean.
Celtic Team News
Viljami Sinisalo will have the gloves, with a back four of Alistair Johnston, Auston Trusty, Liam Scales and Kieran Tierney playing ahead of the Finland international goalkeeper.

The Celtic captain Callum McGregor will be joined in the middle of the park by Arne Engels and Benjamin Nygren while up from the outstanding Daizen Maeda will lead the line, Yang will play on the right wing with Sebastian Tounekti wide on the left.
On the bench For Celtic this evening we expect to see Doohan, Saracchi, Murray, Ralston, McCowan, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Hatate, Iheanacho, Forrest and Osmand.
Match Officials
The Scottish FA confirmed earlier this week that John Beaton will referee the Motherwell v Celtic match this evening and he will be assisted by David McGeachie and Jonathan Bell.
Andrew Dallas will be in charge of the VAR operation at Clydesdale House and Hugh’s laddie will be assisted by Sean Carr.

Kick-off Time
Tonight’s Scottish Premiership match at Fir Park will kick-off at 8pm, and so too will the match at Tynecastle between Hearts and Falkirk. A Hearts victory in that match coupled with a home win for Motherwell would see Hearts winning the league this evening.
Celtic though will have other ideas and after that fabulous win and performance at the weekend, expect Martin O’Neill’s side to be too strong for Motherwell this time around.
Where to Watch
The big saga of the last few days was where to watch the Motherwell v Celtic match this evening. The SPFL initially told us that Sky Sports would only be showing Hearts v Falkirk but would also show any goals from Fir Park as they happened.

Criticism from Celtic Shorts and others Celtic fan media outlets forced a re-think only after Motherwell came out with a PPV offer at £15, which could have brought in around £500k in windfall revenue for the Fir Park side.
Then Sky Sports decided that they’d show the Motherwell v Celtic game anyway. And fair play to Motherwell for issuing refunds to those who had already parted with the £15 for the streaming service, no longer required.
Can you imagine if Arsenal and Manchester City were both in with a shout of winning the Premier League and Sky decided to do something similar? Not going to happen is it but it shows a total disregard for the Scottish game and a disrespect for the Sky Sports customers who subscribe to watch their team play.

Meanwhile Celtic TV are showing the match live in their usual overseas service which is available to subscribers based outside of Britain and Ireland.
Score Prediction – Motherwell 0-2 Celtic (Maeda, Nygren)
There’s a feeling that we’ve finally clicked. Sunday’s win over Rangers showed grit and quality, and both have been in short supply for much of this turbulent season. We now have the bit between our teeth and with everyone Celtic minded believing.

A look through the Hearts forums last night showed pessimism for their trip to Celtic Park on Saturday with many pinning their hopes on Motherwell winning this evening as their most realistic chance of lifting the trophy. However Motherwell looked jaded at the weekend and a Celtic side at full throttle will be too much for them.
Goals from Daizen Maeda and Benjamin Nygren will give Celtic a 2-0 victory that will set us up perfectly to finish the job at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon.
