Bloom appeared on talkSPORT following O’Neill’s own interview with the broadcaster and alleged that “one or two” Hearts players had been “assaulted” during the aftermath of Saturday’s match.

Speaking to reporters at Hampden before the final, O’Neill pushed back on the claims and stressed that no such allegations had yet been substantiated.

“Tony Bloom has made some reflections himself to Jim [White], and he said that two of their players were ‘assaulted,’” he said via Celtic’s official YouTube channel.

“If that’s the case, then obviously there would be a deep apology from all of us at Celtic Park, but that has not been proved. If that hasn’t been proved, then that’s a fairly severe allegation. That has not been proved.

“If it is eventually proved, and there has been a lot of searching around over videos and things like that here. Obviously, that would be very serious indeed.

“But he did use the word ‘assault’, when that hasn’t been proven yet.”

You would think that 5 days after the game Tony Bloom would be able to determine if 1 or 2 of their players were assaulted I am sure all the pictures and video evidence have been well scrutinised and if they have found anything it would have been highlighted by now

How are you allowed to make such blatant lies, without repercussions within Scottish football?
Very dangerous lies, by that big nosed eejit, and sums up why such a horrible individual, invested into such a horrible club, as there made for each other imo?

Any truth in such allegations would have been published, with the fallout even bigger than it already is, if that’s even possible?
Well done MoN in putting another Hun lover back into his coffin
