Although Kasper Schmeichel is currently sidelined through injury, the experienced goalkeeper was still heavily involved in Celtic’s celebrations following the Hoops’ dramatic 3-2 victory over Motherwell at Fir Park.

The veteran Dane faces an extended spell out after struggling with a number of arm and shoulder issues in recent months.
It was later revealed Schmeichel had been playing while managing a significant shoulder problem, prompting questions over why he continued to play for the Scottish champions.

The situation also placed scrutiny on Celtic’s medical staff once the severity of the injury became public knowledge.
Despite being unavailable, the 39-year-old travelled with the squad to Lanarkshire on Wednesday evening and watched from the stands as Celtic produced another dramatic late turnaround in the Premiership title race.
Kelechi Iheanacho converted a stoppage-time penalty to seal a thrilling 3-2 victory, ensuring the title will be decided on the final day against Hearts at Celtic Park.
Schmeichel later shared footage of the celebrations on Instagram, posting: “Wow! Absolutely incredible game! Fight to the end and @kelechi72 cool as can be.”
Celtic now know that victory on Saturday will secure a remarkable fifth consecutive Scottish Premiership title.
Post-match at Fir Park, Schmeichel joined the celebrations near the away support, alongside Colby Donovan who was also in the Tommy McLean Stand with 4000 Celts.
