It’s a noon showdown today, as Celtic head to Leith to take on Hibs at Easter Road in yet another must win game, as this absolutely compelling title race hots up even further…
It’s imperative that we win each and every fixture we have remaining if we are to lift the trophy, that’s the long and the short of it. If we draw or even worse suffer a defeat, then I reckon we can wave goodbye to our chances of five in a row. Flip that around and collecting the three points at lunchtime today will also heap further pressure on our title rivals who face each other tomorrow early evening.
Motherwell’s defeat at Falkirk will motivate Hibs
It won’t be easy though, no game after the ever split is, and Hibs will make it tough for us, make no mistake about that. Despite all the chatter of David Gray’s men taking it easy against the champions, they will be busting a gut to finish as far up the table as possible, especially after Motherwell’s loss to Falkirk yesterday. A win today would see Hibs move to within three points of Jens Berthel Askou’s side with the two teams still having to play each other.
Those expecting to face a half hearted opponent better think again.

That means they will be looking to bounce back after their freakish defeat to Edinburgh rivals Hearts last weekend, and we’ll need to be at the top of our game if we are to leave Leith with all three points. It was a tough watch last time out at Easter Road when we hung on to register a vital 2-1 win, and today will be no different.
Love a highly motivated Celtic to come out the traps fast
I’d love a highly motivated Celtic to come out of the traps fast and put the game to bed early doors with a few easy goals then spend the rest of the game attempting to improve on our goal difference.
We managed to record a vital win over Falkirk last week, despite it being nervy for a period, and with the return of Alistair Johnston, as well as Daizen Maeda hitting top form, we can head into the fixture with confidence high.
We need that strong start, and to be fully focused for the ninety plus minutes that will unfold, and hopefully we can prevail. If so then we can turn our attention towards Monday’s clash between Hearts and The Rangers, and in very good spirits known that one or preferably both will drop points.
The travelling Celtic support will do their bit
For today it’s all about Celtic getting the points at Easter Road and one thing is for certain, the travelling Celtic support will do their bit throughout the match.
Green Brigade tifo v Hibs
– flags distributed at turnstiles

The Green Brigade has also organised a pre-match tifo involving all the Celtic support who will have to collect their piece of the action going through the turnstiles as Hibernian FC refused to cooperate, denying the Celtic Ultras the opportunity to place the materials on each seat in the away section.
Celtic owe Hibs one
Celtic owe Hibs one for that game at Celtic Park back in February. Martin O’Neill has referenced it often and he too will be looking for some retribution today. However it’s done, we don’t care. Just win Celtic, that’s all we ask.
COYBIG!
Just an Ordinary Bhoy
