Well done Motherwell FC for stepping in to organise a PPV service for supporters wishing to watch the Fir Park side’s final home game of the season on Wednesday night against title chasing Celtic…
The Scottish Champions make the short journey to Fir Park this midweek having closed the gap on long-time Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts to just one point on Sunday afternoon following the 3-1 win over the Rangers at Celtic Park.
The evening before Hearts dropped two precious points at For Park in a 1-1 draw with Jens Berthel Askou’s side, with Derek McInnes left squealing for a penalty that correctly wasn’t given by referee Steven McLean after he was called to the monitor by the VAR, Greg Aitken.
Motherwell have been excellent this season so it will be a tough task for Celtic
Motherwell have enjoyed a fine season under their Danish coach and of course Celtic lost at Fir Park back in December during the short and costly reign of Wilfried Nancy.
This time Celtic just have to win and then it all boils down to a title showdown at Celtic Park against Hearts on Saturday lunchtime. If Motherwell beat Celtic and Hearts win their match at Tynecastle against Falkirk then Hearts would be crowned Champions on Wednesday evening.
As we mentioned earlier on Celtic Shorts, the Supercomputer is now predicting that Celtic will win the title, a change from many months of Hearts being the front runners and indeed the tipped side to end the long wait dating back to 1960 for a title triumph.

Hearts hoping for a favour from Motherwell
Like Celtic, Hearts will be champions if they can win both remaining matches , but they may feel that their best chance is through a little assistance from this very strong Motherwell side. Martin O’Neill though will have his own charges highly motivated with the title in sight and Celtic supporters will be tuning in their droves to watch this eagerly anticipated fixture.
We discussed on Celtic Shorts this morning Sky overlooking this Motherwell v Celtic match with its huge implications for the title. So it’s great that Motherwell are able to offer this PPV service and obviously it should be rather lucrative at £15 to book. Decent money going into the For Park coffers his no bad thing for the league.

I’ve just ordered and it was seamless. Click on the image below to order….

Celtic TV’s normal service for this game
Celtic had earlier posted a message clarifying that as the away team they had no control over the PPV broadcast, hinting that Motherwell FC might step in, which they duly did. Meanwhile Celtic TV will be showing the game live to subscribers based outside of Britain and Ireland.
For those asking, as Celtic are the away club for Wednesday’s game we do not have the pay-per-view broadcast rights within the UK & Ireland.
Keep an eye on @MotherwellFC for any details from the home club.
We WILL however be showing the game outside the UK & Ireland as normal…
