Celtic are reportedly leading the chase for Hungarian midfielder Milan Vitalis…
According to reports domestically, the 24-year-old ace is supposedly eager to make a move this upcoming transfer window, feeling that he has developed all he can at his current club, Gyori ETO, who pipped rumoured Hoops manager target, Robbie Keane, to the title this term in Hungary.
Robbie Keane now hotly tipped for Celtic job
Irish manager Keane, 45, is hotly-tipped to take over from Double-winning boss Martin O’Neill, after he rescued Celtic’s season not once, but TWICE, this past year.

The one-time Celtic centre-forward’s previous connection with the club, his Irish connection and relatively cheap fee, all point towards a potential Celtic homecoming, despite the obvious pitfalls and pushback a move like this would cause.
This latest rumour does very little to quell those fears, with Vitalis a man which Keane would have very much seen up close in his battles as Ferencvaros manager this past while. The report from Csakfoci outlet, states that Vitalis is being tracked heavily by the Five-in-row Premiership Champions and that they currently lead the race for his signature, ahead of the window opening.

Similarly, the obvious link between Vitalis, Hungarian football and Robbie Keane, is clear for all to see. At this moment in time, talks have remarkably been pushed back by majority shareholder Dermot Desmond, who is a law unto himself it seems whenever Celtic require a new manager.

Of course any such potential links for Milan as a player, is going to increase the speculation surrounding Keane becoming our next manager?
Personally believe that both issues, should be looked upon there individual merits at this stage imo?
Milan as a player, sounds like he has a profile of the type of player, we require in our midfield areas imo?
With the potential added bonus of helping out Calmac, especially as I believe that this policy of Calmac having to play every minute of every game, has to be addressed imo?
Paulo and Hatate both had very disappointing seasons, along with the uncertainty surrounding Calmac, Engels and Nygren? Hardly makes our midfield areas, a strong and settled area, within our squad building process at present imo?
So Milan as a player, possibly has a great opportunity available with ourselves, especially as he also suits our player trading model also?
Still think Keane if he becomes manager, will have a decision to make upon the OX for a potential contract also?
As for Keane himself as a potential manager?
Still say that will depend upon the involvement of MoN within the situation imo?
Would be similar to when Roy Keane returned to the Irish set up, when MoN was in charge?
How was the working relationship between Robbie Keane and MoN at that time?
Don’t know, as the Irish team were poor, with Keane at the back end of his career.
Regardless, I don’t think Keane gets the managerial role, without MoN involved in some capacity imo?
If we end up with a 1 plus 1 situation, then so be it, as it would only be a starting point, within what is required over this summer period?
But whatever decisions are taken, won’t be to everyone liking, especially with Keane and his Israeli connections?
Hence the importance of MoN, if such a situation is being considered?
