A packed Celtic Park will provide the backdrop for Saturday’s title decider, with tickets for the clash against Hearts sold-out.

Iheanacho believes the home support could play a decisive role once again as Celtic attempt to complete their pursuit of the league title.

“I think the fans have been a very, very massive part of this season, so we’ll need them one more time this season at Celtic Park to cheer us on, and they’ve been doing that all season, so they’ll be massive on Saturday,” the striker said via TCW.

Should Celtic lift the trophy, Iheanacho’s dramatic contribution in recent weeks is likely to cement his place as a cult hero among the Hoops faithful.

The Nigerian forward arrived on a free transfer following last summer under Brendan Rodgers and has proven influential during the title run-in. His goals against Kilmarnock, Dundee, Hibernian and Motherwell have earned the club 12 crucial league points.

Iheanacho signed an initial one-year contract after joining Celtic, although the club retain the option to extend the agreement by another season.

When questioned about his long-term future ahead of the decisive encounter, the 29-year-old insisted his focus remains entirely on Saturday’s showdown.

“I think after 90 minutes on Saturday, then we’ll talk about that,” Iheanacho concluded.
