Celtic supporters and the Hoops stadium announcer aimed a cheeky dig at Ibrox boss Danny Rohl following the Scottish champions’ dramatic 3-1 victory in the Premiership clash on Sunday afternoon.

Post-match, music played over the stadium sound system mocked theRangers manager by using the tune associated with his now well-known chant, which Ibrox fans have sung throughout the campaign to the melody of Boney M’s “Daddy Cool”.

The moment sparked loud celebrations around Celtic Park, with large sections of the home support joining in as Celtic marked their first victory over their rivals at home since September 2024.

The afternoon had started in difficult fashion for O’Neill’s men when Mikey Moore fired theRangers into an early lead.

Celtic responded before half-time through Yang Hyun-jun, whose equaliser shifted momentum back in favour of the Hoops heading into the interval.

Daizen Maeda then produced the decisive moments after the break, first finishing off a flowing attacking move to put Celtic ahead before adding a spectacular overhead kick to wrap up the victory in style.

The result leaves Celtic sitting just one point behind league leaders Hearts with only two fixtures remaining in the title race.

Martin O’Neill’s side now control their own destiny for the first time this season, and victory over Motherwell on Wednesday would set up a potentially decisive showdown with Hearts on the final day of the campaign this Saturday at Celtic Park.

Should Celtic win the title at the weekend, they will have the opportunity to win a league and cup double the following Saturday at Hampden Park against Scottish Championship side Dunfermline Athletic.
