Benjamin Nygren has refused to be drawn into speculation over his long-term future at Celtic despite growing interest following an impressive first season at the club.

The Swedish midfielder has established himself as one of the standout performers in Scottish football and was the dominant figure at Celtic’s end-of-season awards ceremony last Sunday.
Nygren collected multiple honours on the night, including Men’s Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and the club’s top goalscorer award after an exceptional first campaign at the Hoops.

28 goal contributions so far in his first season at Celtic
The 24-year-old has registered 20 goals and eight assists in 55 appearances across all competitions, consistently delivering during key moments of the season.
His performances have naturally attracted attention ahead of the summer transfer window, particularly with Celtic still competing for a domestic league and cup double.
However, Nygren insisted his attention remains solely on the closing weeks of the campaign rather than any potential move away from Celtic.
‘My focus is at Celtic now and that’s it’
“To be honest, it’s not a question that I think of. My focus is at Celtic now and that’s it,” he told Celtic’s official YouTube channel.
Nygren – who remains contracted to the club until 2030 – was then asked directly whether he expected to remain at Celtic long term.
His response: “I already told my answer.”
