Benjamin Nygren deal making strides, talks for Michel–Ange Balikwisha still ongoing and Isaac English has today signed for Celtic…

Anthony Joseph of Sky Sports has given an extremely positive update on Celtic’s pursuit of Swedish attacking midfielder Benjamin Nygren, stating that a fee of £1.7m had been agreed and the club are now looking to finalise the move as quickly as possible.
Nygren has agreed personal terms and clubs have an agreement
The FC Nordsjaelland man has already agreed personal terms and the deal should be concluded in the coming days in what will be seen as a great bit of business for Celtic.
Nygren is a highly rated attacker who has broken into the Swedish national side and will add great quality to our squad judging by his impressive stats and performances.
UPDATE: Celtic have agreed a fee of £1.7m to sign Nordsjaelland attacker Benjamin Nygren. @SkySportsNews revealed last week that the 23yo verbally agreed terms with #CelticFC and that talks with #FCN were progressing well.

Michel–Ange Balikwisha deal looking likely
There was yet more positive news on the recruitment front regarding another player who has been previously linked with the club and that is another attacking player in Michel–Ange Balikwisha with talks apparently still underway to bring the Antwerp wide-man to Glasgow, with the player keen to make the move at the second time of asking.

Both players would severely enhance Brendan Rodgers’ squad and give the team a creative spark plus much needed competition in the wide area. It’s also good to see that the club are very much going against the grain and getting business sorted much earlier than usual.

Isaac English signs for Celtic from Morton for an undisclosed fee
Meanwhile, Celtic have completed the signing of young Morton Centre back Isaac English who will start his Celtic career as part of Stephen McManus’s B side.
Isaac is only 17 and a highly regarded prospect so it will be interesting to see how his career progresses over the next few years.
The young defender never made a competitive appearance for the Ton although he was named on the bench for the championship sides last fixture of the season against Scott Brown’s Ayr United.
But Isaac clearly impressed at youth level where he was a key member of the Morton under 18 side who won the club academy Scotland performance league last season and his displays caught the eye of several bigger clubs.
Celtic were one of those clubs and they have paid what’s believed to be a fee in the region of £50,000 for the 17 year old, so they must have great faith that he can make the grade.
A refreshing change
It makes a refreshing change to hear of the arrival of a promising youngster as opposed to a departure. Best of luck to young Isaac.
✍️ We are delighted to announce the signing of young defender, Isaac English from Greenock Morton!
