Victor Wanyama has completed a sensational return to Scottish football, signing for Dunfermline Athletic on a deal until at least the end of the season…

The former Celtic star links up once again with his ex-manager Neil Lennon, who recently took charge of the Pars in a bid to steer them clear of relegation from the Scottish Championship.
The 33-year-old midfielder had been without a club since leaving CF Montreal earlier this year and has now agreed to bolster Lennon’s squad for the final stretch of the campaign.

Lennon, who was appointed earlier this month, wasted no time in securing the services of his former Celtic powerhouse. Wanyama, who became a fan favourite at Parkhead during his two-year spell from 2011 to 2013, is set to add much-needed experience and steel to Dunfermline’s midfield.
The Kenyan international previously conquered Scottish football under Lennon’s management, helping Celtic to two league titles before sealing a £12.5million move to Southampton — a Scottish record sale at the time. He went on to enjoy spells at Tottenham Hotspur and in Major League Soccer with CF Montreal.
Championship Debut at Somerset Park on Saturday against Scott Brown’s Ayr Utd

Wanyama could make his debut as soon as this weekend in a headline clash against Ayr United — managed by another of his former Celtic teammates, Scott Brown.
The move marks a remarkable chapter in the midfielder’s career, as he trades the glamour of the English Premier League and MLS for a relegation scrap in Scotland’s second tier.
Victor Wanyama is a proven winner and will be best player in Championship

Wanyama boasts an impressive CV, having made over 90 appearances for both Celtic and Southampton and 97 for Spurs during a successful period in North London. He then became a key figure at Montreal, where he made more appearances (99) than at any other club.
Now, the veteran midfielder is determined to make an impact at East End Park and help secure Dunfermline’s Championship survival.
The Pars currently sit ninth in the table, and Wanyama’s arrival is seen as a significant coup in their fight to beat the drop.

Best of luck to Victor and Lenny at Dunfermline and also of course Broony at Ayr. We’ll need to sit on the fence on Saturday as far as that match goes.
