Celtic have a sell-on, which is believed to be up to 25%. This could result in €10m coming Celtic’s way.
Frimpong’s rise has been remarkable since arriving at Celtic from Manchester City in 2019. The Dutch right-back quickly became a fan favourite with his blistering pace and attacking intent, playing a key role in Celtic’s domestic success. After winning the treble in his debut season, he secured a move to Bayer Leverkusen in 2021, where he’s developed into one of Europe’s most exciting wing-backs. His dynamic performances in the Bundesliga and Champions League have attracted attention from elite clubs, while he’s also earned recognition with the Dutch national team.
Frimpong is a top talent with a bright future ahead and it’s expected that he’ll make a switch this summer due to the release clause.
