The transfer window closes for Celtic on February 3rd and Brendan Rodgers has spoken about strengthening his squad ahead of the UCL Playoffs against either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.
With Jota signing and Kyogo departing, there are still areas of the pitch that the manager will want immediate reinforcements – namely in attack and at left back.
With Alex Valle returning to Barcelona to join Como, Greg Taylor is the only recognise left back at the club. Celtic are eager to get GT3 to sign a new deal but they have sealed a pre-contract agreement with Kieran Tierney. Unfortunately, Arsenal are blocking any move for Tierney to return to Celtic this January as they see the player as cover.

Manchester United’s Tyrell Malacia has been linked with a loan move as he looks to get minutes under his belt following a knee injury.
Mathias Kvistgaarden has been Celtic’s primary striking target for around 18 months with the club continuously linked with the Danish hitman. According to Mail Online’s Stephen McGowan, there is a difference between the valuations of the player – which may frustrate a deal from taking place.

Celtic sold Kyogo in a deal for £10m but the manager revealed that the striker made his intentions clear regarding leaving some time ago. The club will be hoping to get a deal for Kvistgaarden done now but, if they can’t, secure terms for the summer and a loan option to tide us over.
Luis Palma is expected to depart Celtic in the coming days with Greek giants Olympiacos set to secure the Honduran’s services on a loan deal with an option to buy. Palma impressed at Aris, which resulted in Celtic signing him but he has failed to kick on from an impressive first few months at the club. The signing of Jota will only further limit the player’s opportunities and it is best for all involved that he moves on and plays regularly.

Celtic have reportedly had an opening bid of £4.6m for Sondre Ørjasæter rejected. The Scottish Champions have been linked with the Sarpsborg winger but the Norwegian club want a fee of £7m for the 21-year-old.
Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph provided the updated on Thursday evening, stating that negotiations were continuing.

Celtic could be looking for a wide option with a view to moving Daizen into a more central role for the remaining part of the season, especially if there’s a struggle to get a deal over the line for Kvistgaarden.
