Embarrassing rhetoric from Rangers to deflect from Celtic’s success

With Celtic becoming the most successful club in Scotland, it was never expected that Rangers would graciously accept the existential crisis posed to them by 119. It is no surprise that Rangers have been making noises about the penalty shout from the opening exchanges of extra time.

Cerny went down and John Beaton penalised Liam Scales, giving James Tavernier the chance to shoot from a free kick. There wasn’t much by way of protests from Rangers players, who accepted that it was a free kick.

Replays are somewhat inconclusive regarding where Beaton blew the whistle for the foul but VAR cleared the call. Although, it is embarrassing that the ‘dignity’ club have resorted to a blatant attempt to disguise their own shortcomings by claiming foul play.

Celtic had shown their resilience throughout the game, responding to going behind and then having the nerve to go up and win the penalty shootout. Had Rangers scored from the penalty spot, Celtic would have upped their ante and no doubt created chances.

Brendan Rodgers’ side were the better team and the only side that tried to play football on Sunday. The reality is that Clement is now without a win in six games, including two Cup Finals. Brendan, meanwhile, has ten trophies since joining Celtic back in 2016. Rodgers has been instrumental in Celtic becoming the most successful club in Scotland but kudos goes back to Martin O’Neill and his teams that turned the tide.

Despite all of the armaments given to Rangers in the 90s and early 00s, Celtic went about their work and worked their way towards the success that we are currently enjoying.

Aberdeen, who were finalists last season, were denied a penalty when Duk was floored in the box. VAR checked and cleared the decision, which benefited Rangers. The rumblings from Ibrox are embarrassing and even more so are the utterly deranged comments from their supporters.

Celtic are the finest team in Scotland through merit and I’m sure you will agree…

  1. The scum were desperate to win on Sunday, just in the slim hope of keeping the trophy count in there favour?
Now with ourselves having the league cup, safely in the cabinet, and the league nearly sown up also.
Then the scum have only really got trying to stop another treble heading our way.
Even so, the ridiculous claims we have had to endure during the 12 years, of this new and equally as bad version of the scum, is that the biggest and best club in Scotland is Celtic.
Something we have known for quite some time now, and no amount of bullshit from the scum, can change the current fact.

  2. Had the so called experts and pundits, journalists, the rangers board, the rangers support, agreed with the CELTIC support,Big Ange, and Brendan Rogers that the people running VAR were incompetent years ago but they didn’t….why…. maybe just maybe we would not have ambiguity now

  3. Last time I could be bothered checking on the role of the VAR I’m pretty sure they were only supposed to intervene when a clear and obvious error was made by the onfield referee.
However, Scotland being Scotland, Lodge SFA took it upon themselves to put their own twisted spin on proceedings from the very first televised game where the new technology was used.
If the Huns believe that brothers Beaton & Muir conspired to deny their self confessed favorites a penalty on Sunday then they are even more fucked up in the head than we could have imagined.
The pair of them most likely haven’t slept a wink since they awoke from their Saturday night slumbers.
Every time they lose to us the deflection shields are raised in the press to stir up a shitshow that would/has/will never happen if it affected any other team in the SPFL.
It’s hilarious to witness but quite nauseating into the bargain.
Absolutely shameless, the lot of them.
