Celtic are reportedly considering a sensational return for Kieran Tierney. The left back has been told that he will not have his contract extended with Arsenal, meaning that he will be free to leave the club next summer.
The Scottish Champions will likely be looking to review their left back situation in the summer given Greg Taylor’s contract expires along with Alex Valle’s loan from Barcelona.
Tierney was a key figure under Brendan in his first spell with the club before departing for £25m to Arsenal. Despite starting in Arsenal’s League Cup win over Crystal Palace, the news came out that Arsenal would not be renewing the day, which prompted reports stating that Celtic were exploring a return for Tierney as soon as January. Celtic can sign the player on a pre contract but there is a suggestion that he could sign a loan deal for the remainder of his deal.
If Tierney was willing to return to Celtic and accept a wage cut from his current Arsenal deal, then it is a no brainer for Celtic.
