Souttar theRangers’ latest self-proclaimed superstar

The Rangers supporters always think their players are superior to everyone else in the country…

The table doesn’t lie

It’s funny how they’re always second best, or as they are at this moment in time THIRD BEST! The table doesn’t lie!

They are well known for going overboard, especially when it comes to exaggerating their players abilities. From £40 million rated Alfredo Morelos to Barcelona bound James Tavernier, we’ve heard and laughed at it all.

John Souttar the latest to be hyped beyond reality

The latest player to get that treatment is John Souttar after his decent displays at international level.

Admittedly I’ve been impressed by Souttar as he’s looked the part against world class opponents in his last few Scotland appearances, and he deserves great credit, but would he get a regular start in our first team? The short answer would be no.

The same thing goes for our own Anthony Ralston who has also put in some great shifts for Steve Clarke’s Scotland side yet is far from being a regular starter at Celtic.

Souttar now best centre-half in Scottish football, apparently

Some Ibrox supporters have unsurprisingly took to social media to proclaim him the best centre half in the Scottish Premiership.

To say that Souttar is better than Cameron Carter Vickers, Auston Trusty or even Liam Scales for that matter is complete nonsense, and that’s not me being biased, it’s just the reality of the situation.

Ironically enough they also proclaim to have the best goalkeeper, best right back, best left back, best midfielder, best winger and best striker in the country.

Never seems to add up to having their name on the Premiership trophy

It’s funny how all that never really adds up to having the best team, judging by Celtic winning the title just about every year – what is it 12 titles from 13 years and the one that got away was the covid year when there were no fans allowed at games.

It’s been a long, long time since they’ve seen a Rangers team win a league title.

Just an Ordinary Bhoy
