Further proof that sectarianism is not just a ‘West of Scotland’ problem…
‘West of Scotland’ problem
The curse that is sectarianism is quite often thought of as a ‘West of Scotland’ problem.
Well according to the SMSM it is, but those of us with enough common sense and first hand experience in the matter know that it’s a problem that exists throughout the entire country.
This was yet again witnessed on Saturday night at Tynecastle as the Hearts supporters did what they do on a regular basis and copied many a ditty from their big cousins in Glasgow as they indulged in their anti-catholic agenda.
Notorious UVF killer Michael Stone
It didn’t stop there though, as they went even further than their Glasgow cousins by conning their own club into displaying notorious UVF killer Michael Stone on the big screen inside the ground.
It of course made its way into the SMSM, but it hasn’t caused the rumpus that such behaviour warrants. Imagine the column inches hacks such as Bill Leckie would dedicate to such an incident had Celtic supporters been involved.
Our supporters though wouldn’t be lowered to such behaviour. That however hasn’t stopped hacks like Leckie who personally likes to dub us as one of the ‘bigot brothers’ often criticising us for singing songs and paying homage to historical figures that are in no way relevant to sectarianism.
Yet supporters outwith Glasgow indulge in such a public display of bigoted and foul mouthed behaviour and it’s completely airbrushed.
Bigotry does indeed exist outside of Glasgow
It also exists among the SMSM with nearly all of them always reluctant to call out the anti-Catholic/anti-Celtic mindsets prevalent across Scotland.
Meanwhile over on The Celtic Star, a holier than thou Hearts supporter popped up yesterday to have a dig at the Celtic support after the Bhoys statement urging Celtic to refuse tickets for Tynecastle going forward unless a reasonable allocation is restored.
Have a read at this from Hearts fan, Bill…
Let me enlighten you on this matter. HMFC home games generally sell out and many supporters of the club rely on a ticket exchange scheme whereby season ticket holders (15,500) who for whatever reason are unable to attend a game return their tickets to the club for resale.
This scheme only operates when there is a sell out. Saturday evening game was a couple of hundred short of selling out and therefore the scheme didn’t operate. A couple of reasons was the 7:45 pm kickoff time on a Saturday evening and the opposition.
Many family supporters purposely avoid the Celtic game because of the vitriolic atmosphere generated by the away supporters and a bunch of home supporters too. So the vast majority of the home seats were sold and the main reason for them being unoccupied was a combination of the wintry weather, uncertainty over the availability of public transport, that the game was live on TV and the aforementioned reluctance to have young family members subjected to the terrorist loving song book of the extreme element of the away support.
Never mind don’t let the truth get in the way of your conceived agenda.
Didn’t they also previously play The Sash too?
Bill, your own club posted a photo of a murderer on the screens in your stadium. Didn’t they also previously play The Sash too? And wasn’t it at Tynecastle where Celtic manager Neil Lennon was assaulted on the touchline by one of your own supporters.
Worry about the extreme elements in your own support, Bill
You should worry about the extreme elements in your own support before coming onto a Celtic site to hit us with your excuses and blaming u for your half-empty stadium. If your lot thought you’d have had a chance then Tynecastle would have been packed.
It’s just an acceptance that Celtic are too good and the inevitable happened did it not? As Hearts are unlikely to make the top six we’ll be spared a return trip unless we have to knock you lot out of the Scottish Cup in your own midden.
Irishman Adam Idah pelted with coins
Adam Idah reckoned that so many coins were thrown at him by the Hearts support that he could have bought his Christmas presents with the money. Civilised Tynecastle is not, Bill.
Enjoy your relegation battle.
Just an Ordinary Bhoy
I also watched a clip online from the Hearts game just after Kuhns goal when a supporter quite clearly called him ” a wee fenian bastard “.
Lovely folk through in Edinburgh. I’m sure wee Ann Budge will do her best to root out this bigot and ban him from Tynecastle . Haha, no chance .
